A short walk with activities along the route, suitable for families with 6 - 11 year old children, in an attractive wooded valley close to Frome. Frome is well known as an artistic community. The Open Studios offers visitors the opportunity to go behind the scenes, meet artists, craftspeople and makers, see their work, and buy direct from the artist. Tellisford Mill - talk and visit

Tellisford pre-Domesday mill site was idle from 1912 until January 2007, when a new turbine began generating renewable energy. This run-off-river micro-hydro power plant exports electricity to the grid, producing 332,000 KWh last year. The tour will show the turbine and a film of the mill’s development. Eat and dance in the Market Square.

Always a highlight, food from Frome’s eating establishments in the traffic-free market place with each stall representing a country’s cuisine. Praying for Rain are bringing their vibrant, high-energy world music to Frome’s main square, culminating in a perfomance by Phantom Limb, a refreshing and timely reminder of what country and soul music can and should be.
