The Frome Festival launches the 2020 Summer Treasure Hunt @DiscoverFrome @WhatsOnFrome @Frometimes @FromeNubNews @VisitSomerset #artsfestival #treasurehunt

July 17, 2020 - Martin

For those of you who have been missing our annual celebration of the arts and our community, in these socially distanced times, the Frome Festival has decided that the Treasure Hunt is one thing that is able to go ahead this year.

Update:

Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond our control, the Clue No. 12 –  the shop has been cleared, including the answer to the clue. Please substitute: “Opposite to clue No. 11 what’s wrong with Frome”

Treasure Hunt picture and clue sheets can be purchased and downloaded from the Frome Festival website for just five pounds by clicking this link.

So get equipped with your quiz sheets and start exploring the many fascinating streets of Frome. This year’s theme is the 20th Birthday of the Frome Festival. Annette Gabbedy, designer, goldsmith and winner of the Bath and Bristol Woman of the Year in 2015, has once again kindly donated the prize of an Annette Gabbeddy jewellery voucher worth £200.

As in previous years you do not need prior knowledge of Frome; just a pen, a sense of humour and a keen eye are all that are required; so why not stretch you mind and legs with a gentle stroll around our historic town?

We are delighted that quiz master Paul Hewitt has joined forces with local photographer Elisita Kemp and her daughter Valentina Kemp-Eddy with their intriguing photographs to create a quiz for everyone to enjoy. With the help of Black Ink Design, this year’s quiz will be the perfect way to explore our beautiful town and be in with a chance of winning the £200 voucher prize.
