Frome Independent Market – Festival Takeover / Sun 5 July 2026

Calling all performing artists – Frome Festival is teaming up with The Frome Independent once again, and we need your help to bring this year’s Festival market to life! 

The Frome Independent Market will coincide with the annual Frome Festival on Sunday 5th July 2026. We both have a proud tradition of championing local artistic talent, and so after last year’s successful takeover, we’re inviting local performers to apply to perform during one of Frome’s busiest events.

We’re looking for performers who can perform up to 50 min slots at the Market Place Stage, Activity Zone (next to the Library) and wandering, flash-mob style performances. Whether you’re a musician, thespian, dancer, magician, juggler, entertainer – anyone and everyone is welcome to apply! All performances will take place on busking stages with 0% commission, so performers will be able to keep all contributions provided by the 5,000 visitors who attend the market.

Please use the below form to register your interest by Friday 17th April @ 5pm. After this deadline, the Festival team will work with the Independent Market planners to coordinate a programme and will reach out to artists to inform them of performance times.
