During the uprising of 1685, the Duke of Monmouth and his rebel army came to Frome. This walk follows in their footsteps within the town, taking in key locations of what became one of the most significant episodes of the entire rebellion. Led by David Lassman of Frome Heritage CIC.
In the post-Restoration period Frome became a major centre of non-conformity, with many places of worship being built within the town. This walk will visit several of them (exteriors only) and reveal the stories behind the denominations who built them. Led by David Lassman of Frome Heritage CIC.
Loosely based on the book of the same name, this walk will chronicle alphabetically the history of the town, from Aldhelm, the founder of Frome, to the Zion Congregational Church, where old and new come together in a perfect mix.
