OAKFIELD CHOIR CONCERT

Join us for an inspiring evening of radiant choral and organ music spanning four centuries of the English sacred tradition. From the serene beauty of Tallis’ If Ye Love Me and Purcell’s Bell Anthem, to the rich Romantic warmth of Stanford’s Magnificat in A and Bairstow’s Blessed City, Heavenly Salem, this programme celebrates the power and splendour of voices raised in praise.
The luminous lyricism of Vaughan Williams is heard in O Taste and See, Te Deum in G, and the beloved Rhosymedre, while Britten’s vibrant Festival Te Deum and Jubilate in C sparkle with rhythmic vitality. The organ takes centre stage in Howells’ majestic Rhapsody No. 3, completing an evening of colour, contrast, and exaltation.
Whether you are drawn to moments of quiet devotion or thrilling climaxes of sound, this promises to be a joyful and uplifting celebration of choral music at its finest. All are warmly welcome.
