‘SHANTY AND ME’ DOCUMENTARY – CHARITY FUNDRAISER FOR PALESTINE

6 July @ 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm
£13

A screening of cameraman Jono Ekin’s intimate video diary documenting his incredible journey on a 1965 Royal Enfield motorcycle, traveling from India through Pakistan, Iran, Turkey, and into Europe in 1999. This educational and humorous film was previously broadcast on SKY TV’s Destination Adventure. £10 of each ticket sale will go to Medicine Aid for Palestinians.

Jono Ekin spent his 20’s travelling around Southeast Asia, culminating in a 5 year stint in HongKong working as a cameraman for Star TV. After the handover of Hong Kong, he headed to India and began the trip of a lifetime, riding his 1965 Royal Enfield motorcycle back to the UK.

‘Shanty and Me’ is an intimate video diary of his journey travelling through India, Pakistan, Iran,Turkey and into Europe. The film was finally shown on SKY TV.’s Destination Adventure.

If you know Jono, you’ll tap into his humour, if you don’t, then it will be educational. Either way it will give Ewan McGregor a run for his money 😉

This journey is harder to complete today due to the political turmoil, and there are parts of the world like Bam in Iran that do not even exist today since the earthquake in 1999.
